New Year, New You?

How are you doing with your January resolutions?

Did you start the year with lots of great intentions and resolutions about healthy living only to find that by the end of January none of them have stuck? 


Most of us say we will give up alcohol, or at least drink less, eat more healthily, join a gym, start running, aim to lose weight or other great ideas. 


The intentions are positive but we don’t set ourselves up for success so it is unsurprising these resolutions don’t become ingrained daily habits.


Why? Well, a number of reasons

·       changing too much at once

·       not having a realistic goal

·       not planning how to introduce new habits in enough detail

·       not changing our mindset

·       giving up at the first time expectations aren’t met

·       stopping after a bad day or bad week

·       putting off starting.

 

If you want to make effective changes to how you eat, your exercise regime, managing your stress levels and sleep routine working with a Health Coach to guide and support you in adopting new, lasting habits may be the best resolution you make this year.
