Frequently asked questions
What is a Health Coach?
A Health Coach works with individuals to transform their health and wellbeing by guiding them to make small, sustainable changes to their daily habits. Many health conditions are worsened by our lifestyle choices, but adopting healthier habits can significantly improve both your overall health and specific conditions.

A Health Coach provides motivation, support, and accountability tailored to each client’s unique needs. While much of the information necessary for better health is readily available online, putting it into practice can be challenging. With a supportive coach by your side, we’ll identify the barriers that have held you back from making lasting changes and set realistic, achievable goals.

Together, we’ll identify small, manageable changes that will evolve into lasting habits, helping you cultivate a healthier lifestyle that can dramatically transform how you feel and your overall health.
What areas are covered?
Each session will focus on a different aspect of lifestyle to help create a holistic approach to your health. Key areas that we will address include:
-
maintaining a balanced diet,
-
the importance of regular exercise,
-
improving sleep, and
-
managing stress effectively.
Additionally, we’ll explore other factors that influence overall wellbeing, including detoxing, recreation, and spending time in nature among others.
What can I expect from the sessions?
The first session will begin with a detailed health history, where we will explore your main goals and co-create a personalised plan with 3-4 actionable changes for you to implement. This will take approximately 90 minutes.

After the initial session we will meet every two weeks for follow ups, typically lasting 45 minutes. During these follow ups, we will review your progress, celebrate what’s working well, and address any challenges, and add in new habits. Throughout the sessions we will explore different aspects of what makes a healthy lifestyle, reinforcing the importance of the changes you are making.
What health conditions do you deal with?
We are all unique and our lifestyle choices affect our wellbeing in different ways. I don’t specialise in one particular health condition; instead my approach focuses on transforming your day-to-day habits through my “Back to Basics” method.
This approach can have a profound impact on a variety of conditions including:
-
Hormonal issues
-
Sleep issues
-
Fatigue and low energy
-
Weight management
-
Stress management
-
Food cravings
-
Long term health risks such as high cholesterol, high blood pressure and Type 2 diabetes.

By making small, sustainable changes, we can improve your overall health and well-being, addressing many of these concerns.
Is it going to be hard work?
Yes and no! If you are reading this and considering Health Coaching, it’s clear that something in your lifestyle isn’t quite working the way you’d like. If we all followed the advice out there, we would all be fit, happy, and healthy. However, changing ingrained habits can be difficult – and often uncomfortable.
My role is to work with you, helping you to replace unwanted behaviours with healthier habits. We will collaborate every step of the way, and I’ll never suggest anything that doesn’t align with your goals or values.
Change takes time, and the while the initial steps may be small, the cumulative impact of these changes over months and years will be transformative. The key is your commitment to the process.
What isn't covered in the sessions?
As a Health Coach, I work within a defined scope of practice. I am not a qualified doctor and, therefore, cannot diagnose medical conditions. In certain situations, I may advise you to consult with your GP.
I will provide detailed guidance on maintaining a healthy diet, however, I am not a nutritionist and will not create personalised meal plans or supplement protocols. We will cover what a balanced diet looks like and I will guide you through your own meal planning with examples and recipe ideas.
Are you qualified?
I hold a level 5 Diploma in Health Coaching from the award-winning College of Naturopathic Medicine and am a member of the Association of Naturopathic Practitioners.
In addition, I am a Chartered Accountant with 30 years experience, having worked across a variety of organisations. My background in Finance has equipped me with invaluable skills: I’m trained to examine data closely while also keeping the big picture in mind; I communicate effectively with business owners, stakeholders and non-financial colleagues - particularly when simplifying technical concepts; and I know how to plan, prioritise, and meet deadlines.
Do you work in-person or online?
I generally hold coaching sessions online.

I am based in N8, London and I’m happy to discuss in-person sessions if it’s convenient for us both.
